The U.S. Small Business Administration has issued a one-page form which makes it simpler to request the cancellation of Paycheck Protection Program loans. The form also contains newly updated forms that are in line with the current stimulus law.

Congress approved the COVID-19 relief package last month, which included $284 billion of financing to small businesses in need of loans. The money was intended to reduce the economic burden of the coronavirus pandemic. It also included a requirement that the SBA to issue streamlined forms within the first 24 hours of the legislation being signed into law to simplify the process of applying for forgiveness. It also included conditions meant to encourage more bank loans by community banks, especially for minority-owned businesses who had trouble getting loans in the past.
