The U.S. Small Business Administration has released a 1-page form which makes it simpler to request forgiveness of Paycheck Protection Program loans. The form is also updated with new forms that are in line with the most recent stimulus legislation.

The COVID-19 relief package that Congress adopted last month revived the PPP with $284 billion in funding for small businesses seeking forgivable loans to help them cope with the economic fallout from the coronavirus outbreak. The law required that the SBA issue simplified forms within the first 24 hours of the legislation’s signing into law. This is to simplify the process of applying for forgiveness. Additionally, it included conditions that encourage banks in the community to lend more, especially to minority-owned businesses who were unable to obtain loans last year.
