The U.S. Small Business Administration has released a 1-page form that makes it easier to apply for forgiveness of Paycheck Protection Program loans. It also includes newly revised forms that comply with the current stimulus law.

The COVID-19 relief package that Congress adopted last month revived the PPP with $284 billion in financing for small-scale businesses looking for forgivable loans to help them deal with the financial fallout from the coronavirus pandemic. It also included a requirement that the SBA to issue simplified forms within 24 hours after the legislation was approved by the lawmaker to streamline the procedure of applying for forgiveness. The legislation also contained conditions meant to encourage more bank loans by community banks, especially for minority-owned businesses that were unable to obtain loans last year.
