Public Service Student Loan Forgiveness Form

The U.S. Small Business Administration has released a single-page form designed to make it easier for applicants to complete the process of applying for forgiveness of Paycheck Protection Program loans, together with updated and revised forms to comply with the most recent stimulus legislation.

Congress approved the COVID-19 relief package last month and provided $284 billion of funding to small businesses that needed loans. This money was used to offset the economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak. The law required that the SBA release simplified forms within the first 24 hours of the signing into law. This was done to simplify the process of applying for forgiveness. Additionally, it included conditions to encourage banks in the community to lend more specifically to minority-owned companies who were unable to obtain loans last year.
