The U.S. Small Business Administration has released a form of one page that makes it easier to apply for forgiveness of Paycheck Protection Program loans. The form also contains newly updated forms that comply with the most recent stimulus law.

The COVID-19 relief plan that Congress adopted last month revived the PPP with $284 billion of funding for small businesses seeking forgiven loans to help deal with the financial fallout from the coronavirus pandemic. The package also mandated the SBA to issue simplified forms within 24 days of the legislation being approved by the lawmaker to streamline the process of applying for forgiveness. The legislation also contained conditions designed to facilitate more bank loans by community banks, particularly for minority-owned businesses that had trouble getting loans last year.
