Loan Forgiveness Form For Teachers 2018

The U.S. Small Business Administration has released a single-page form aimed at simplifying the application process to forgive Paycheck Protection Program loans, as well as newly updated and revised forms to comply with the latest stimulus legislation.

Congress approved the COVID-19 relief package in the month of March, which included $284 billion of financing to small businesses in need of loans. The money was intended to mitigate the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The legislation required that the SBA provide simplified forms within 24 hours of the signing into law. This was done to facilitate the application for forgiveness. Additionally, it included conditions that would encourage community banks to make more loans, especially to minority-owned businesses who were unable to obtain loans last year.
