Law Enforcement Loan Forgiveness

The U.S. Small Business Administration has released a form of one page which makes it simpler to request forgiveness of Paycheck Protection Program loans. The form also contains newly updated forms that comply with the current stimulus legislation.

Congress approved the COVID-19 relief package last month and included $284 billion of financing for small-scale businesses who needed loans. This money was used to offset the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The package also mandated the SBA to issue streamlined forms within 24 hours after the legislation was signed into law to simplify the process of applying for forgiveness. It also included conditions designed to facilitate more bank loans by community banks, especially for minority-owned companies that struggled to get loans in the past.
