The U.S. Small Business Administration has issued a one-page form which makes it simpler to request the cancellation of Paycheck Protection Program loans. The form is also updated with new forms to comply with the latest stimulus legislation.

Congress approved the COVID-19 relief package last month, which included $284 billion of financing to small businesses in need of loans. The funds were used to offset the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The package also mandated the SBA to issue simplified forms within the first 24 hours of the legislation being adopted to make the procedure of applying for forgiveness. It also included conditions designed to facilitate more loans from community banks, particularly for minority-owned businesses who struggled to get loans in the past.
