The U.S. Small Business Administration has issued a one-page form that simplifies the application for the cancellation of Paycheck Protection Program loans. The form is also updated with new forms that are in line with the latest stimulus legislation.

The COVID-19 aid package Congress adopted last month revived the PPP with $284 billion in funds for small businesses that want forgiven loans to help cope with the economic fallout from the coronavirus outbreak. It also included a requirement that the SBA to issue simplified forms within the first 24 hours after the legislation was approved by the lawmaker to streamline the application process for forgiveness, along with conditions meant to encourage more loans from community banks, specifically for minority-owned businesses that struggled to get loans in the past.
