The U.S. Small Business Administration has issued a one-page form that simplifies the application for forgiveness of Paycheck Protection Program loans. It also includes newly revised forms that are in line with the latest stimulus legislation.

Congress approved the COVID-19 relief package in the month of March and offered $284 billion in funding to small businesses in need of loans. This money was used to offset the economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak. It included a requirement for the SBA to issue streamlined forms within 24 days of the bill being approved by the lawmaker to streamline the procedure of applying for forgiveness, along with conditions meant to encourage more loans from community banks, specifically for minority-owned companies that had trouble getting loans in the past.
